UPDATE: Matthew Peterson received 100% of member votes and has accepted the position as the next Deep Run East Lead Pastor!

Matthew Peterson has a Master of Divinity degree from the Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Indiana.  

Matthew is the Pastor at Midway Mennonite Church in Columbiana, Ohio as part of LMC (formerly Lancaster Mennonite Conference). He began his role as pastor with Midway Mennonite in September 2017. He built relationships throughout the congregation, local community, and the Ohio Mennonite Conference (Midway transitioned from Ohio Mennonite Conference to LMC in January 2024). He brings his experience as a husband, father, market farmer, low-income community educator in Washington, D.C., and volunteer educator in West Africa to his service as pastor. He and Christiana, his wife, have four young children: Neva, Jude, Annalee, and Isaac.
