Jr. High

Our JMYF (Junior Mennonite Youth Fellowship) consists of 6th through 8th graders. We meet Sunday mornings for Sunday School in our awesome one-of-a-kind room for large and small group discussions on topics relevant to young teens.

We have Bible Study twice a month (1st and 3rd Wednesdays) that includes study of Scripture, snacks and some awesome games!

We also have a once-a-month separate activity that includes the following over the course of our year: September Kick-off; Lock-in at Deep Run East; games at the Souderton Mennonite Home with Deep Run East residents; conference-wide Lock-in at Christopher Dock; summer retreat; 8th grade sleepover night and an awesome, amazing 5-night sleepover during Bible School Week. Other activities could include: skiing (every other year); Dorney Park (every other year); service projects; Ringing Rocks; Progressive Meal; Mystery Supper; games with other youth groups; mini-golf and more.

When youth enter 6th grade they are encouraged to choose a mentor to walk beside them through the junior and senior high years. Our Mentor Program has been going strong for over 10 years.

Our purpose is to help our junior high youth learn about Jesus and learn to walk with Him. You are welcome to come join us in any of our activities and see what we are about!

Sunday School

No matter where junior highers are in their spiritual journey, they all have one thing in common--an inquisitive mind with an overwhelming desire for real relationships. We have found that LIVE, an interactive Bible curriculum by Group Publishing is a great way for us to plunge our junior high students into the Bible to get answers to their biggest questions about God, others, and themselves.
