Prayer for each other, our community, and the world is important to us at Deep Run East. In the Sunday morning worship service opportunity is usually given for people to publicly thank God for his help or to ask for prayer for something they are especially concerned about. The worship leader then leads us in prayer about these matters. In addition they are incorporated into a list of prayer concerns that is distributed into the mail boxes before the next Sunday service.
But we all have concerns that we aren’t comfortable sharing with a large group and yet we need someone to help us pray about them. You are welcome to write down such concerns and slip them into a locked box in the hall way near the mail boxes. Each Tuesday evening, a small group meets in the Prayer Room to pray for each of these requests.
If you are uneasy sharing a prayer concern with a small group, we would encourage you to speak with one of the Elders or Pastor Ken or Pastor Brent.
Life as a solitary Christian is very hard. We all need the help and support of a Christian community.
