Kristen Yoder – Director/3’s teacher
I live in Dublin with my husband, Dave, and our four children: Kyle, Sean, Luke, and Katie. After graduating from Moravian College with a BA in Elementary Education and Psychology in 1993, I enjoyed working as an elementary school teacher in Montclair, New Jersey. I worked for six years before my husband and I were blessed with our first child. I have had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom ever since. Over the past twelve years, I have pursued my Masters degree in Reading from Montclair State University, have volunteered at the school where my children attend, and have served in various ministries at my home church, Calvary Church of Souderton. In my free time, I love to read, spend time with family and friends, and cheer on my children in their various activities. I love children, and I am thrilled at this wonderful opportunity that God has given me to join the Deep Run East Preschool family as teacher and director. I am so excited and looking forward to working with the children and the families of Deep Run East!.
Brenda Rice – 4’s teacher
After attending Montgomery County Community College for Early Childhood Education, I enjoyed teaching at a wonderful child care center for ten years. I then had the pleasure of staying home with our children for their younger years. Our two boys taught me so much! Now that I have my own children, I feel I am a much more understanding person and teacher! Samuel, our oldest is now 14 years old and our youngest, Matthew, is 11. My husband, Daryl, is a fantastic father, friend, and greenhouse owner. As our boys grew, I returned to the childcare profession at our home church, Deep Run East Mennonite. I am now working on my 5th year here at Deep Run East Preschool and enjoying it immensely. The caring families I have met while working here have enriched my life and so many others. I also am so appreciative of the teachers I work with here at Deep Run. They fill my life and the children’s lives with so much fun, knowledge and love! I can see God’s love everyday in our classroom.
Terri Nyce - 3’s assistant teacher
I live in Perkasie with my husband Tim and one child left at home full time. We have 4 children: 2 girls and 2 boys. Heather is 25 and has been teaching English in Korea for 2 one-year terms and is ready to start her third in a few months. Brianne lives and works in Pottstown. Ben is a sophomore at Eastern Mennonite University and Matt is a senior at Pennridge High School. I love kids of all ages! This is my 12th year at the preschool. I also enjoy working with the junior high youth at our church.
Sharon Bishop – 4’s assistant teacher
I live on a dairy farm with my husband Dave. I enjoy being a mom to two children who have grown into fine young adults. I am currently a 4-H dairy club leader to children in the community, and have thoroughly enjoyed that role for the past 18 years.
I had the privilege of being offered the preschool teacher assistant job twenty years ago at my home church, Deep Run East. My daughter and I started preschool together the first year the school was opened. I continue to be thankful for the opportunity of being in a classroom with young children and watching them blossom as they experience the gift of learning.
